INTERFACE (DVD) bizarre Atari age slasher with killer computer technology

This rare little flick from Texase is pretty fun if you are in the mood for some cheap laughs and a few thrills.  The way film uses the '80s technology available at the time will seem pretty hilarious compared to today standards, with the sight of floppy discs and descriptions of how computers work.  The villains all talking in their "Mr.Roboto" voices is nice touch too.........

INTERFACE (1985)

Beneath the serene campus of a university there are cavernous underground tunnels where a game of peril is being played. The object of the game is to eliminate the criminal element of society. It was meant to be an exercise in computer science, but now the fantasy has become reality and the objective has become an obsession.

A computer science professor suspects the untimely death of his prize student was no accident. Joined by the victim's widow, the two begin their investigation which leads to the discovery of a highly sophisticated computer game. The game unlocks the door to a world of terrorists obsessed with carrying out their master's will. It is game they must win since their lives depend on it.

This bizarre Atari age slasher has all has all the charm of naive 80's sci-fi movies, with big, bold letters sending big, scary messages on big, green computer screens. The premise seems pretty silly, but it moves along fast enough to make for a nostalgic fun ride. Look for Lou Diamond Phillips playing a punk at the beginning in his first feature appearance.

YOUNG WARRIORS (DVD) Animal House meets Death Wish revenge thriller

Here way have a very unique hybrid of a film and one that is definitely a great example of '80s film making.  Pretty dark and gritty at times (the tone, not he picture quality!), it is definitely one to have if you are fan of revenge films.  Also, the freaky dark animation sequence that the main character supposedly creates for his class are pretty trippy........

YOUNG WARRIORS (1983)

To date, the most violent acts a group of fun-loving frat brothers have been apart of has been popping beer cans and staging panty raids. Things change drastically though when the teenage sister of one of the boys is brutally raped and murdered by a street gang. College kids by day, the group become ruthless vigilante warriors by night, out for revenge.

The police are not moving fast enough with their investigation and even with body count increasing, no one can convince the fraternity brothers to leave it to the professionals. The intensity, violence and suspense builds as the Young Warriors race the police to close in on the killers and bring them their own brand of justice.

This rare '80s revenge thriller plays like a unique cross between Animal House and Death Wish, chocked full of violence and nudity, along with a very dark themed psychedelic animation sequence in the middle. Look for some familiar faces with Ernest Borgnine and Richard "Shaft" Roundtree playing the detectives and scream queen Linnea Quigley showing up as well.

ELIMINATORS (DVD) Mandroid seeks revenge in crazy sci-fi B flick

I think a lot of people are going to be reminiscing with this one.  This was one of those films that if you saw it when it was released, you loved it, but somehow you have forgotten about it until NOW.  The cover alone is pretty epic, and it was one that was very hard to turn down when perusing the video store.  The movie itself though is so fun and seems really big for the actual budget that they had.  It truly is an example of the kind of film that would never get made in this day and age, and I'm thankful that we have one that we can enjoy without Hollywood thinking about a remake........

ELIMINATORS (1986)

As part of their experiments in time travel, a brilliant scientist and his assistant construct a "Mandroid" with the body of a pilot that was rescued from a plane crash. After the success of the initial experiments, the scientist decides to have the Mandroid scrapped, but his assistant helps the cyborg-being flee and is killed for his disobedience.

Mandroid goes off in search of someone who can help him with getting revenge on his creator. He hooks up with a female scientist and they enlist the aid of a jungle guide to help them with their travels. They add one more to their posse when they meet a ninja in the jungle who is on a revenge mission of his own. It is now up to them to stop the evil scientist and his plans to rule the world.

Director Peter Manoogian (Demonic Toys) directs this super fun sci-fi B-movie that is very ambitious in its scope, but somehow makes it work despite the budgetary constraints. The crazy cast of characters includes Denise Crosby (Star Trek: The Next Generation) as the female scientist and Andrew Pine (V, V: The Final Battle) as the Mexican river-rat guide.

ELIMINATORS is available immediately and can be found in the Sci-Fi and Adventure section of the website.  If it is still listed as COMING SOON, please email us at revok@revok.com with your request and we can send you a customized invoice so you can easily pay by PayPal or credit card.

BLADE MASTER, THE(DVD) Joe D'Amato's Ator sequel with Miles O'Keeffe

We already have the first Ator film available and we have been trying to track down excellent prints of the other three films that were made.  This week we are happy to add Joe D'Amato's second installment to the series and were able to track down some sick art to create a pretty awesome sleeve.  Look for more Ator action in the coming weeks.......

THE BLADE MASTER (1984)

A wise old man has developed the Geometric Nucleus - a device which can cause havoc if it falls into the wrong hands. He reveals the terrible secret of his invention to his daughter Mila and pleads with her to flee the castle in search of help before it is too late.

Only Ator can save them, who has been continuing his research in a cave with Thong, an oriental expert in martial arts. Mila escapes the castle and reaches Ator's cave despite ambushes and attacks by the evil Zor. The group plan their return to the castle but find danger everywhere as Zor uses shadowmen, samurai, cavemen and every possible trick to overpower them.

Joe D'Amato (Endgame) returns to direct Miles O'Keeffe (Double Target, Lone Runner) as Ator in the sequel to Ator, The Fighting Eagle. According to D'Amato, the film was shot in two weeks and heavily improvised so it could be finished in time to ride the coat tails of Conan the Destroyer.
